About Us
Welcome to Smithfield Youth Theatre – a grassroots initiative born from the collective passion of moms in the Smithfield community. We are a group of dedicated volunteers, united by our desire to create enriching experiences for our children and those in the surrounding community. Our journey began with a simple vision: to provide a platform where the youth of Smithfield can explore their creativity, build confidence, and be part of something truly special.
At our core, we believe in the power of community to make a difference in the lives of our children. We are not professional actors or directors; we are parents, neighbors, and friends who have come together to offer a welcoming, supportive environment where young talent can thrive. Our annual play during Health Days is a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together for a common purpose.
Each of us brings our unique skills and enthusiasm to the table, whether it’s in set design, costume creation, organization, or simply offering a word of encouragement. We do this not only for our own children but for every child who wants to be part of this exciting journey. Smithfield Youth Theatre is more than just a theater group; it’s a family, a support network, and a celebration of the vibrant spirit of our community.

Mission Statement
Our mission at Smithfield Youth Theatre is to provide a fun and enriching experience for both our young performers and their families. We believe that the performing arts can bring people together and create a sense of community, and we strive to foster this spirit of collaboration and camaraderie in all of our productions.
Our goal is to provide a platform for our young performers to showcase their talents and develop their skills, while also giving parents and other volunteers the opportunity to get involved and contribute to the success of our productions.
Through our commitment to excellence, creativity, and inclusivity, we aim to create a memorable and rewarding experience for everyone involved in the Smithfield Youth Theatre.
